Step into the world of metal fabrication in this beginner-friendly class, where the focus will be on MIG welding—one of the most widely used techniques in modern manufacturing and design. You’ll gain hands-on experience in essential fabrication processes while learning to set up and operate a 3-phase MIG welder, including the wire feeder and gas bottle system. The class covers key welding principles, professional equipment setup, and foundational safety practices. Working primarily with mild steel, you’ll take on practical fabrication projects that build both skill and confidence. All personal protective equipment—such as welding helmets and gloves—are provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt. A welding cap is recommended for those with exposed skin on their heads. By the end of the class, you’ll have a solid foundation in welding as part of the broader world of metal fabrication, empowering you to create, repair, and innovate in your own projects.
*Please note that this class is not a tradesman qualification.
