TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is known for its precision, clean finish, and versatility. While often seen as a skill for professionals, it doesn’t have to be intimidating. This class is designed specifically for beginners—particularly for those who gave never welded before. We start with the fundamentals: what TIG welding is, how the equipment works, safety essentials, and the basics of torch and filler rod control. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a steady hand. You’ll get hands-on training, with a strong focus on coordination, technique, and comfort. You’ll be learning on extruded aluminum, a commonly used but more challenging material, which makes mastering the basics even more valuable. Each exercise is paced and supported with guidance. You'll practice striking arcs, making clean beads, and understanding how to control heat and movement. Our approach is friendly, patient, and practical. We welcome mistakes as part of the process and keep class sizes small for individual support. Adriaan is a 6G doubled coded welder and will be leading the class into a difficult but vary rewarding medium. Whether you're interested in fabrication, art, or just trying something new, this TIG welding class is the perfect starting point. (We will not cover cast aluminum in this class)
*Please note that this class is not a tradesman qualification.
