Are you a young graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with pretty decent woodworking, metalworking, engineering, or manufacturing know-how?

Do you have a start-up vision but you don’t have the tools, or the space, to get your idea off the ground?

Made In Workshop is looking for engineers, industrial designers, artists, electronic designers, thinkers, and makers to be part-time instructors for the makerspace.

Much like personal trainers at a gym, instructors will get a membership to Made In Workshop. In exchange for 14 hours a week to man (or woman!) the front desk, assist members, and host a small two-hour class in the evening once a week, the rest of the week is yours – with access to over R3 million worth of tooling and machinery in a world-class makerspace.

So, for the remainder of the 30 hours in the week, you can work on your own projects – whether personal or for profit. Sweet deal, right?

Think you’re a fit? Just go to the Made In Workshop careers page and fill in an application form to tell us more about yourself. We will have a look to see if you are the kind of instructor we’re looking for and we’ll get back to you.

Never used our particular machinery before? No sweat! You will be shown how to use and operate the big beasts, and you’ll be taught how to teach others to use them as well.

This is one of many exciting developments that are hitting Made In Workshop in 2020.
